Police Service Commission Releases List of 50,000 Successful Nigeria Police Recruitment Candidates
The Police Service Commission (PSC) has officially released the list of successful applicants recruited into the Nigeria Police Force as Police Constables. The announcement marks the completion of the recruitment exercise aimed at bringing 50,000 new officers into the force through what the commission described as a transparent, inclusive, and merit-based selection process.
According to the PSC, the recruitment exercise was carried out in collaboration with key stakeholders, including the Nigeria Police Force, the Federal Character Commission, the Ministry of Police Affairs, State Career and Counseling Departments, and the Police Community Relations Committee. The commission said the multi-agency approach was designed to ensure fairness, credibility, and equal representation throughout the recruitment process.
Successful candidates are advised to check their application status through the official recruitment portal. In addition, the Police Service Commission has confirmed that successful applicants will receive notifications via the email addresses and phone numbers they provided during registration. These notifications will contain further instructions regarding their next stage in the recruitment process.
Candidates whose names appear on the successful list are expected to report to their designated Police Training Institutions on dates and times that will be communicated by the commission. Upon arrival, all candidates will undergo medical examinations conducted by the Nigeria Police Medical Team, alongside documentation and verification of their credentials.
The PSC warned that candidates who fail to report within the specified period will be considered to have declined the offer of appointment. Likewise, applicants who do not meet the required medical fitness standards during screening will be declared medically unfit and will not proceed with the training programme.
Successful applicants are required to report with their call-up slip, National Identification Number (NIN) slip, Bank Verification Number (BVN) slip, as well as the original copies and photocopies of all educational certificates and other requested documents. Candidates are also expected to appear in a white T-shirt, white shorts, and white canvas shoes, which will serve as the official dress code for resumption.
The commission emphasized that the call-up slip must be printed in full colour, noting that black-and-white copies will not be accepted during documentation at the training institutions.
The Police Service Commission also reminded the public that the entire recruitment exercise was conducted free of charge. Applicants have been advised to ignore anyone requesting payment in exchange for employment or any recruitment-related service. The commission urged members of the public to report any suspected fraud or recruitment scams through its official communication channels.
The release of the successful candidates represents another major step in the Federal Government's ongoing efforts to strengthen the Nigeria Police Force by increasing manpower and improving national security. Candidates are encouraged to regularly monitor official PSC announcements and prepare all required documents ahead of their resumption for training.
